External Transfers allows FNBSM users to send money electronically between two banks under the same ownership name. You can complete these steps by follow this walk-through:
Click on the top left sandwich icon to access the menu and click on Accounts.
On the top right click on the "+" to add a new external account.
Select Make external transfers. You may be prompted to enter your password as a security procedure.
Transfer Setup Screen
Account Name: Enter a nick name for the external account
Routing #: Enter the 9 digital external bank routing number. The system will automatically verify if the account number is correct and associate it with the bank.
Account #: Enter the external bank account number
Account Type: Choose the account type, i.e. Checking or Savings
Slick on Submit.
In order to confirm the external account we will send two small test deposits with 3-5 business days.
Click OK to continue.
Within a couple of days, once you receive the deposit you can verify the two small deposits by navigating to the Settings option located on the left-hand menu when you click on the top left 3 lines.
Click on External Transfers followed by the account that you are verifying.
In this screen you can enter the two small deposits to confirm your account and complete the adding of your external account or click on "Remove" on the top right if you no longer wish to move forward with adding the account.
Once you click on "Confirm" your account will be ready to make bank to bank external transfers.
In order to perform an external transfer you can access the left navigation and click on the "Transfers" or go to transfers from your Transfer card on the main Dashboard screen.
